What is SaintScience?

SaintScience is a student-run, University-affiliated journal, set up in 2021. Editions of the journal are published twice a semester.
SaintScience is tailored toward the student audience, with the aim of providing greater insight into current research at the University of St Andrews and access to developments from different schools within the sciences. The publication occupies a unique niche, showcasing undergraduate research and scientific developments that appeal to young people in science today.

Our goals

Bring academic writing to the forefront

Introducing students to the academic writing process while maintaining the strict rigour exercised by professional journals is a key focus of SaintScience. With engagement encouraged at all levels within the organisation, from submitting articles to the peer-review process.

Journal format

Content ranging from comment and opinion to undergraduate research is published regularly on the website from the eight schools associated with the journal. In addition, periodic issues encapsulating the top picks across the month are are published as PDFs and available freely.
